We’re looking for an experienced veterinary practice manager who can lead our hospital’s day-to-day operations while helping create a positive experience for both clients and team members. You’ll play an important role in keeping the veterinary practice organized, efficient, and aligned with our hospital’s philosophy.
The ideal veterinary practice manager is a confident leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating structure in a fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee scheduling, inventory, staff training, hiring and onboarding, payroll, client service, and other administrative functions that keep our veterinary hospital running smoothly.
You’ll also help ensure our team delivers exceptional veterinary care by supporting doctors and staff, maintaining effective communication, addressing client concerns, and ensuring hospital policies and procedures are followed.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, train, and develop hospital team members while providing feedback and addressing performance concerns.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and support employees who are a strong fit for our veterinary team and culture.
- Build staff schedules and help ensure appropriate coverage based on hospital needs.
- Support employee relations and communicate hospital policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, equipment, vendor relationships, and controlled-substance procedures.
- Help implement and maintain OSHA, DEA, and other hospital policies and protocols.
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
- Respond to client questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and a strong commitment to client service.
- Support accurate patient records and understand commonly used veterinary terminology, treatments, tests, and procedures.
- Promptly communicate emergency cases and important patient information to the appropriate veterinary staff.
- Represent and promote the hospital within the local community and veterinary community.
Our Hospital
Our comprehensive veterinary services include preventive care, wellness, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Our team has access to modern technology and equipment, including digital dental and full-body X-ray, ultrasound, orthopedic equipment, and cold laser therapy, along with three exam rooms and a dedicated comfort room.
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with at least 1 year of management experience required
- Strong understanding of veterinary medicine, terminology, and hospital operations.
- Compassionate, calm, organized, and confident leadership style.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make fair, thoughtful decisions.
- Comfortable using computers and practice management systems.
- Self-motivated and eager to continue developing your veterinary knowledge and leadership skills.
- Flexible availability based on hospital needs.
