Job Description: We aim to deliver exceptional customer experiences by providing outstanding service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting department sales and profit goals while upholding quality assurance standards. Responsibilities- Help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
- Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness; review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action.
- Provide customers with fresh and non‑perishable grocery products they have ordered.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, and temperature logs are kept.
- Maintain knowledge of products sold and respond to questions, making suggestions.
- Create an environment that welcomes, values, and appreciates customers.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions for management.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate manager of items needing repair.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflict reasonably, non‑confrontationally, and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
