Position Overview
Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a retail store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. The Store Manager supports the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment and assists with leading the production room as needed. Starting Pay: $47,000.00 annually, with a monthly performance bonus of up to $1,000 based on goals.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals for operating income, revenue and production.
- Monitor product levels on the floor (as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back‑stock) daily to meet sales budget targets.
- Manage payroll and operating costs to stay within budget.
- Ensure Team Members provide excellent customer service to donors and customers and de‑escalate difficult situations.
- Maintain a clean, well‑kept store that reflects the Goodwill brand.
- Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission.
- Train and develop Staff; act as key holder, closing shift manager and backup to Store Manager.
- Process complex sales transactions, including returns.
- Travel to other GCNA locations for support and training; transfer to any store as business needs arise.
- Collaborate with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Build a high‑performing team and manage performance (coaching, discipline, OKR, reviews).
- Drive company culture change initiatives and change management processes.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- At least one year of retail management experience.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
