Retail Scan Associate (LAWRENCE KS 66049)
This is a permanent PART-TIME role. The base hours for this position average from 2.5-5 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours (typically 1–2 hours per week per store) are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details will be reviewed during the interview.
Scan Scape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer.
Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

- Perform in-store data collection at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks.
- Use a downloadable mobile app to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.
- Provide quantity information for approximately 45% of the products scanned.
- Complete display scanning of the entire store each week, which can take several hours.
- Execute custom projects requested by clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store each week.
- Meet weekly deadlines to ensure timely data delivery.
- Work independently and maintain attention to detail.
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, accessing products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, or stand as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be a deadline-driven self‑starter.
- Must have reliable Wi-Fi access.
- Must be tech savvy.
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
