About The Role
As a Territory Manager at Halter, you will drive new business growth and ensure customer success within your designated Southern Kansas territory. You will execute sales strategies, build strong relationships, and meet ambitious growth targets while serving as Halter’s on‑the‑ground representative.
Responsibilities- Prospecting New Business:
Drive up driveways, attend local cattle auctions, and meet with livestock associations to build a new business pipeline through outbound lead generation. - In‑Field Sales:
Engage customers in the field, discussing Halter solutions over coffee, at the horse saddle, or on a side‑by‑side in pastures. - Expanding Existing Opportunities:
Seek opportunities to extend Halter solutions to current customers and demonstrate added value over time. - Hitting Sales Targets:
Manage pipelines, prioritize leads, and pursue deals while maintaining sight of future goals. - Customer Account Management:
Maintain relationships post‑sale, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and facilitating a smooth handoff to onboarding and deployment teams. - Territory Ownership:
Own the entire territory, visiting high‑level stakeholders and building lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups. - Customer Onboarding:
Oversee end‑to‑end onboarding experience and coordinate with implementation teams for a seamless transition. - Field Learnings & Feedback:
Collect customer feedback and advocate for their needs within the organization. - Collaborating with Support Teams:
Work cross‑functionally to resolve customer issues quickly and maintain territory support. - Attending Industry Events:
Generate leads and deepen relationships at relevant industry events and Halter demonstrations. - Contributing to the US Sales Strategy:
Provide input to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.
- Driven attitude & strong communication skills.
- Ranching or cattle experience to connect meaningfully with customers.
- Sales and customer success expertise with a history of building lasting relationships.
- Experience managing a large territory with a balance of sales and post‑sales focus.
- Problem‑solving and collaboration ability.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the territory.
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or virtual fencing technologies.
- Background in customer‑facing agricultural technology roles.
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
- Annual self‑development budget of USD 750.
