THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A bachelor's degree in safety management, loss prevention, risk control, or an equivalent field is a plus. Experience in electric utility safety is also a plus! Our ideal candidate also exhibits the qualifications listed below:
- 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman or in electric utility operations
- Solid knowledge of electric utility operations, loss and risk management principles, and federal OSHA regulations
- Strong communication skills and a member‑focused, professional demeanor
- Flexibility and responsiveness in handling multiple tasks, emergencies, or stressful situations
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight on a regular basis

YOUR DAY‑TO‑DAY AS AN EXPERIENCED SAFETY AND LOSS PREVENTION SPECIALISTThis is a full‑time position, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with regular overnight travel required.
As our Experienced Safety and Loss Prevention Specialist, you'll work with rural electric utilities to assess safety practices, identify risks, and provide tailored recommendations for improvement. You'll lead training sessions, advise field staff, and offer expert solutions for safer workplaces. You'll also collaborate with state contacts, monitor industry trends, and contribute to bi‑annual reports, all while building relationships and making a lasting impact.
