Utility Systems Repairer-Operator

Summary

This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). As a Utility Systems Repairer-Operator you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the equipment for various heating and cooling systems.

• Operates and maintains heating and cooling equipment for multiple building complexes.
• Maintains mechanical compression type cooling units, two-ton window air conditioners, air heating and ventilating units, hot water heaters and storage tanks.
• Monitors water supply and return temperature, outside temperature, relative humidity, and cooling towers.
• Maintains and services belts, changes filters, lubricates, and installs worn and broken parts.
• Makes repairs on commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units.
• Maintains proper steam pressure and temperature by adjusting controls and regulating steam boiler and water pumps.
• Inspects and performs preventive maintenance on boilers and equipment.
• Provides preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance services, including emergencies, general repairs, and service calls.
