Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for effective preventative and planned maintenance of site assets as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry at our venue.
This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00 to $34.00.

Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on stadium facilities, grounds, and equipment.
- Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with event setup and teardown for football games, concerts, and special events.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and extend facility lifespan.
- Operate maintenance tools, power equipment, and facility vehicles safely and effectively.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and facility issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of concourses, seating areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and surrounding grounds.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Follow safety procedures, building codes, and university regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with facilities staff, contractors, and event personnel to ensure stadium readiness and guest satisfaction.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school, trade school, or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial, stadium, arena, university, hospital, or large-facility maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, Electrical systems (120V–480V), Plumbing systems, Mechanical equipment, Building automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and work orders.
- Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely.
- Ability to perform routine carpentry, painting, drywall, and general facility repairs.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Proficient with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, athletic events, and emergency call-outs.
- Journeyman-level experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
- HVAC certification or equivalent trade certification.
- Experience maintaining sports venues, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or university facilities.
- Experience supporting large-scale events with crowds exceeding 10,000 attendees.
- Knowledge of video boards, stadium lighting, access control systems, fire alarms, and life-safety systems.
- Experience with boilers, chillers, pumps, refrigeration equipment, and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Forklift, aerial lift, or scissor lift certification.
- Building automation system (BAS) experience, such as with Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Honeywell platforms.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong teamwork skills while collaborating with operations, event staff, contractors, and university personnel.
- Ability to maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and first-class guest experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and work throughout a large stadium environment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects regularly.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond quickly to facility emergencies during events and non-event operations.
