Industrial Maintenance Technician
This role is responsible for performing a wide range of technical duties related to mechanical and electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and basic fabrication in an industrial production environment. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, support fabrication and assembly work, and help ensure that production runs safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot equipment issues in a production environment to minimize downtime and maintain consistent operations.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components on production and facility equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on industrial equipment to improve reliability and extend equipment life.
- Carry out basic fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, pipe fitting, and machining tasks as needed to support maintenance and production.
- Work from oral and written instructions, including work orders, maintenance procedures, and technical guidance.
- Understand and comply with all parts ordering and issuing procedures to ensure accurate inventory and timely repairs.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
- Perform simple repairs on equipment and respond to typical equipment failures in a timely manner.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of equipment and systems, escalating more complex issues as necessary.
- Complete assigned tasks and assume other duties as directed by the supervisor to support overall maintenance operations.
- Hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components.
- Practical knowledge of electrical systems, including three-phase power and basic electrical repair.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment following established procedures.
- Basic skills in fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting, pipe fitting, and machining.
- Ability to read and work from oral and written instructions, including maintenance documentation and work orders.
- Capability to perform PLC troubleshooting at a basic level to support equipment diagnostics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance environments with exposure to a variety of production equipment.
- Familiarity with blueprints or technical drawings to support troubleshooting and repair activities.

WorkEnvironment
You will work in an industrial production facility as part of a small maintenance team. We have a weekday shift and a weekend day shift position with hours typically from 7AM-3:30PM for the weekdays and 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.
Job Type & LocationThis is a permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr. Direct hire role...full benefits.
