About the Position
If you love working with kids in a fun environment and saving lives at the same time, this is the job for you! At British Swim School we teach fun swim lessons, help swimmers reach their goals, and pride ourselves on being serious about water safety while keeping it enjoyable.
As a swim instructor you will receive training to teach children and adults, starting at 3‑month‑old, following the British Swim School aquatics program that is gentle, fun, and progressive. You will be assigned a class schedule created by the manager(s) and interact with swimmers, parents and/or guardians.

Compensationand Benefits
- Pay starts at $17–$25 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for promotions and pay increases.

- Reports directly to and supports the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner.
- Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment.
- Works a flexible schedule that may include evenings, mornings, weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
- Is in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and is in the water for the duration of the shift.
- Creates a fun, professional and safe environment for all students and parents.
- Assists and guides parents and swimmers on the pool deck as needed.
- 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Enthusiastic personality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable leading in a small group setting.
- Comfortable in and around the water; strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed.
- Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
- Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics‑specific training and testing.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training).
- Experience working with children.
- Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
- Swim instructor or general teaching experience preferred but not required.
Job Type: Part‑time
Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
