Westaff is seeking an Accounting Clerk for our client in Lawrence MA!

Required:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Prior experience as an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Clerk.
- At least 18 years of age
Under the direction of the General Manager, process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, assist with month-end close activities, visitors and handle inbound telephone calls to the general phone number.
Essential Job Functions:- A/R – Process sales invoices and credits. Proactive collection activities as needed. Work with Customer Accounts Payable contacts to clean up / correct balances and expedite payments.
- A/P – Process purchase order invoices, vouchers and supplier payments. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure proper paperwork trail, payment authorizations and processing of packing slips.
- Banking – Run daily activity report. Process remote deposits of customer payments. Prepare positive pay file. Initiate wire transfers. Clear checks in EVO as they clear the bank. Reconcile bank statements.
- Admin – Greet visitors and assist with sign-ins and PPE distribution. Answer inbound phone calls. Process inbound and outbound mail. Maintain office supply inventory and restock as needed.
- Experience with computer-based accounting and manufacturing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English
