If you like audit work but don't want to give up your personal life, this could be the place for you.
At this small CPA firm in Burlington, MA you will have all the tools and support needed to succeed in your job. You'll be a part of a culture that prioritizes the wellbeing of its staff and a firm where everybody likes each other.
As an Audit Manager or Audit Supervisor, you'll take ownership of audit engagements, including planning, staff allocation, budgets, review and client communication.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, you work a 36 hour week. Fridays finish at noon and are remote, so you are only in the office 3 days during the summer. Outside of that, the setup is 4 days in the office and 1 from home. You will start with 3 weeks PTO with a performance based bonus up to 8%.
You'll have a CPA reimbursement program too, plus compensated days to sit your exams, so doing your CPA does not involve sacrificing your PTO.
The audit role sits within A&A team that operates separately from tax. You will be involved across engagements from planning through reporting, supervising and reviewing staff, managing timelines and budgets, working directly with clients and keeping engagements moving without somebody hovering over every decision.
For Supervisor, they are looking for around 4 to 5 years of public accounting experience. You should already have experience supervising junior staff, reviewing work and taking responsibility for engagements, with at least part of the CPA exams completed.
For Manager, think 6 to 7+ years, stronger engagement ownership and ideally a completed CPA. They will consider somebody still part way through the CPA, although fully certified is preferred at Manager level.
If your background is around 70% audit rather than 100%, that is still worth a conversation. Just know that this position will be primarily audit once you are in it.
