Civil Project Manager
Haugland Group, a privately‑owned Long Island, New York‑based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team.
We are looking for an experienced, self‑motivated, highly organized individual to join the Project Management team to provide all facets of construction project support, including submittal processing, material management, and budget analysis.
Key Functions- Responsible for overseeing the daily efforts of all project activities and personnel.
- Supervise all work activity of the project, including all subcontractor work.
- Responsible for the quality of work and development of the Project Team, including but not limited to the Project Engineer, Cost Engineer, and project support staff.
- Monitor project scope for changes affecting budget and/or schedule; identify cause, advise client, and negotiate change orders as appropriate.
- Identify impacts to schedule and monitor cost.
- Forecast and track the amount of labor, managerial and material costs necessary to complete a project.
- Responsible for proper reporting of profit and loss of assigned projects as the job progresses. Must have a detailed and comprehensive understanding of project job costing to support monthly closing meetings.
- Review revenue projections and accruals for accuracy. Adjust as needed.
- Provide good communication with owner representative to ensure a good working environment.
- Coordinate with the project team to determine needed resources (manpower, material, equipment, subcontractors, permits, etc.) throughout the life of the project with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Understand the project scope, specifications and identify changes as they come. Communicate to the project team to make sure each change is properly documented.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with experience working on heavy civil construction projects, bridges a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
- Experience with NYC and State public agencies a plus.
- Proficient in the use of Procore, P6, HCSS, and Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
The compensation range for this role is 150-190k.
