Medical Director of inpatient Behavioral facility | Boston, MA area|JO

Overview

We are seeking a Medical Director to lead our inpatient facility. The Medical Director directs the clinical programs of the organization according to the guidelines established for all staff physicians and mid-levels or individuals with similar training and board certification. Responsible for medical administration and supervision, fiscal management, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer‑oriented services in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.

• Collaborates with the CEO, CFO, COO, and EVP as an integral part of the executive team.
• Provides leadership in all areas relating to clinical operations.
• Responsible for recommending and implementing clinical policies and procedures.
• Leads and directs medical staff and APRN? with responsibility for the administration and coordination of hospital psychiatric services.
• Oversees and monitors the quality of the psychiatric care and medical care provided to all hospitalized patients.
• Utilizes DSM‑5 / ICD‑10 terminology and concepts for diagnosis and treatment.
• Carries a case load of up to six (6) patients.
• Provides psychiatric medical call for weekend and evenings in a monthly rotation with other employed physicians.

• Graduate of an accredited medical school and board‑certified in adult or child psychiatry.
• Program development, implementation, and leadership experience of no less than five years in inpatient behavioral health services.
• License to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts.
• Active DEA number.
• Active physician participant in applicable payer provider panels.
