We are seeking a full‑time, non‑tenure track faculty member to begin in Fall 2026. The role requires teaching a total of 8 courses (32 credit/contact hours) across fall, spring, and potentially summer semesters, serving as an academic advisor, and actively contributing to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program and the Graduate School of Counseling and Social Work.
Base Pay Range$78,000.00 / yr – $90,000.00 / yr
Key Responsibilities• Teach 8 courses, including Introduction to Social Work Research and Practice, Evaluation of Social Work Practice, Contemporary Social Welfare Policy, and other related courses, both on‑campus and online (asynchronous and synchronous).
• Deliver instruction in evening sessions after 4:00 pm for on‑campus courses.
• Provide formal teaching, course management (assessments, grading, etc.), advising, mentoring, and supervision of graduate students.
• Attend faculty meetings and complete programmatic tasks assigned by the Dean.
• Contribute to the MSW program’s strategic goals and uphold Merrimack’s Catholic Augustinian mission.
- Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program or equivalent.
- Doctoral degree in Social Work or an Ed.D./Ph.D. in a related field.
- Minimum 2‑year full‑time post‑MSW experience in social work practice.
- Minimum 3 years of on‑campus and/or online teaching in an MSW program.
- LCSW/LICSW with minimum 2‑year post‑MSW clinical practice and supervision experience.
- Experience with online platforms for course delivery and assessment.
- Experience working with or teaching multicultural, immigrant, or underserved communities.
- Proficiency in a second language (bilingual speaker).

CompensationThe expected 9‑month base salary (paid over 12 months) ranges from $78,000 to $90,000. Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and other factors.
