• Be a strong, positive force in the classroom, consistently motivating students to work hard and to learn.
• Design, implement, and collaborate on high‑quality shared curricula incorporating research‑based strategies to help students master Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
• Motivate students to reach high achievement by setting class‑wide and individual goals and providing specific, actionable feedback.
• Build supportive working relationships with fellow teachers, associate teachers, and staff, giving regular feedback to support associate‑teacher development.
• Engage in weekly professional development and intensive coaching with administration and colleagues, embracing a growth mindset to improve instruction, curriculum, and classroom management.
• Adopt school‑wide systems to ensure consistency and smooth transitions, such as writing practices, annotation strategies, and behavior protocols.
• Use the school’s behavior system to establish strong classroom culture, consistent routines, and high expectations, minimizing lost instructional time.
• Build trusting relationships with students and families in an advisory setting of up to 14 students, supporting deeper understanding of the school values:
  Seeking Justice, Perseverance, Active Living, Reason, and Kindness.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed and assigned by administration.
