Position Summary:

Leahy Elementary School is seeking exceptional Elementary Teachers to join our team-individuals who possess a growth mindset, value collaboration and continuous feedback, are passionate about their content, and have an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Plan and implement rigorous, curriculum-based lessons aligned to Massachusetts State Frameworks

* Assess student performance and lesson effectiveness using formative, summative, and project-based assessments; review and utilize data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and create measurable academic goals

* Effectively differentiate instruction and supports for students with a wide variety of academic, social, and emotional needs

* Proactively communicate with students' families to establish a partnership in support of student goals and contribute to school-wide efforts to increase and maintain positive family engagement

* Embrace and uphold school-wide systems to ensure consistency in classroom routines, instructional strategies, and behavior expectations

* Engage in regular professional development and coaching with administration and colleagues to improve instruction and overall student experience

* Maintain high expectations for students and create a classroom environment rooted in respect, growth, and achievement

* Perform additional duties as needed and assigned by administration

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Active Massachusetts Teacher Certification with SEI Endorsement

* Proficient in English;
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

* Be a team player and a problem solver

* Have strong communication skills

* Be reliable and resilient

* Have experience in urban education

* Recognize and support the academic and social/emotional needs of each child

* Have the ability to create and effectively manage a positive classroom culture

* Be familiar with Restorative Justice Practices and other student-centered social-emotional approaches

* The hired candidate will be working in a self-contained classroom teaching all subject areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree Required/ Master's Degree preferred;

* Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL preferred;

* Current Authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range

* $61,788 - $94,614
