Position SummaryWe are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our childhood team. This position supports young learners with developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other special needs by providing individualized instruction in a nurturing, structured, and play-based environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and implement age-appropriate Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
- Use hands‑on, sensory, and play-based approaches to deliver instruction.
- Create a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom that promotes independence and social‑emotional growth.
- Support students in building foundational skills such as early literacy, numeracy, communication, and self‑help.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, and other support staff.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with families to support student learning and development.
- Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals and report regularly to parents and the IEP team.
- Use visuals, adaptive tools, and other accommodations to meet student needs.
- Create and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for second‑grade students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Deliver targeted small‑group or one‑on‑one instruction in reading, writing, and math.
- Use evidence‑based instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools.
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes self‑regulation, confidence, and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co‑teaching models.
- Regularly assess and track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals.
- Communicate frequently with parents and caregivers to provide updates and strategies for home support.
- Work with school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, and other service providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Current state certification in Special Education.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, data collection, and academic intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of phonics‑based reading instruction and elementary math intervention preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Pay Range- $61,788 - $94,614
