Job Description
Job Title: Special Education Teacher (SPED) – PK–K / PK–4 / K–12
Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts
Position Type: Full-Time | New School Year (NSY)
We are seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers to join a school district in North Andover, MA for the upcoming school year. We are currently hiring professionals who are certified and experienced in supporting students across the following grade levels:
- PK–K (Pre-Kindergarten to Kindergarten)
- PK–4 (Pre-Kindergarten to Grade
4) - K–12 (Kindergarten to Grade 12)
The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs achieve academic, social, and emotional success in an inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student needs.
- Provide specialized instruction and evidence-based interventions for students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student achievement.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Massachusetts State Special Education Teaching License/Certification required.
- Certification and eligibility to work with PK–K, PK–4, or K–12 populations preferred.
- Experience in school-based special education settings highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
