Position: SPED MOD Teacher. Reports to Principal. Full‑time, non‑exempt salaried position. Starting date:
Immediately.

The SPED MOD Teacher enriches the academic lives of students in Spark Academy.

• Act as a strong, positive force daily in the classroom—consistently and thoughtfully motivating students to work hard and want to learn.
• Design, implement, and collaborate around high‑quality shared curricula that incorporate research‑based strategies to help students master Massachusetts and Common Core standards.
• Motivate students to reach high achievement by setting class‑wide and individual goals and providing specific and actionable feedback on their progress toward academic goals.
• Build supportive working relationships with fellow teachers, associate teachers, and staff, and provide regular feedback to help develop associate teachers.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed and assigned by administration.

• Prior experience teaching in this area preferred.
• Ability to implement a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to ensure instruction is meeting the needs of all students.

• Massachusetts Teacher Certification in appropriate area.
• Proficient in English.
• Bachelor’s Degree required; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Pay range: $59,988 – $86,585 per year.
