Arlington Elementary School seeks a Grade 3 teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The ideal candidate believes all students can learn and has experience with co‑teaching, inclusion practices, and collaborative planning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Knowledge of early childhood development and best instructional practices
- Teaching core content in a self‑contained classroom/homeroom: ELA (CKLA), Mathematics (Envision), Science, and Social Studies
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in instructional technology
- Cultural competency and commitment to serving a diverse student population
- Collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Reflection on practice and implementation of feedback
- Attending IEP, 504, student support, and team meetings
- Participating in grade‑level and content vertical planning meetings
- Engaging in school‑wide positive behavior support protocols
- Experience collaborating with social service agencies
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
- Proficient in English; bilingual candidates preferred
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree preferred - Valid Massachusetts DESE teaching license
- SEI (Sheltered English Immersion) endorsement required
- Experience teaching in urban public school settings preferred
- Successful completion of all pre‑employment requirements
- U.S. citizenship, residency, or valid work authorization required
$61,788 – $94,614
