School Counselors of Central Catholic High School provide services for high school students grades 9-12. School Counselors deliver services in a variety of settings, including individual, small group, classroom, and graduating class assemblies.
School Counselors respond to identified needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling curriculum that addresses academic success, college planning and social emotional development.
About Central Catholic High School
Founded by the Marist Brothers in the heart of Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1935, Central Catholic High School (CCHS) enrolls approximately 1,200 students from over 60 cities and towns.

- Responsible for help in planning and/or implementing the following school counseling programs: classroom lesson plans, graduating class assemblies agendas and materials, parent evening agendas and materials, attendance at parent meetings as assigned by Director of School Counseling, college planning steps and materials, growth and development of the department.
- Seek and develop an understanding of student needs and abilities through frequent consultations with faculty and administration.
- Oversee and manage Scoir for the assigned students on School Counselor caseload.
- Assist and/or manage school day standardized testing.
- Submitting required and requested college application supporting documents to college admissions offices as requested.
- Create a letter of recommendation to support senior students with their college application process.
- Maintain communication, as needed, with parents/guardians of students that are on School Counselor caseload.
- Responsible for following developed timelines and creating programs for the developmental school counseling curriculum.
- Maintain records for students that are on School Counselor caseload: temporary folders, testing results, progress reports/report cards, school counseling Scoir and Rediker software programs.
- Further professional growth by way of workshops and/ or graduate courses.
- Support, cooperate with, and administer school procedures and policies as set forth in the Student-Parent Handbook and the Faculty & Staff Handbook.
- Comprehend and commit themselves to the educational and spiritual mission of the school.
- Other duties as assigned that are consistent with the forgoing responsibilities and objectives.
- Commitment to the mission of Central Catholic High School and the Marist philosophy.
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience, Bachelor’s degree and enrolled in a Masters of school counseling program, or Master’s degree in counseling or a related field.
- Strong communication skills with faculty, administration, staff, students, and parents/guardians.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/Google Suite and experience with other programs used for guidance related responsibilities.
- Possess a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Central Catholic High School offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,725.00- $80,433.00 (compensation is based on education and experience) with a comprehensive benefits package.
