Camp Ramah in the Berkshires is a vibrant summer camp community, where children grow in a safe, beautiful setting, surrounded by lifelong friends and guided by spirited role models. About the Role

Rosh Omanut/Arts & Crafts Director oversees all creative programming at camp, including ceramics, woodworking, painting, mixed media, and other visual arts activities. This leadership role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising arts staff, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for campers to explore their creativity. The Director works closely with program staff to integrate arts into the broader camp experience.

Summer Dates:
June 17 – August 14, 2026

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and oversee the camp’s arts and crafts curriculum
  • Supervise and mentor Arts & Crafts Educators
  • Plan and organize daily and special arts activities for all camper age groups
  • Collaborate with program staff to integrate arts into camp-wide programs
  • Bring new ideas and innovations to expand the arts curriculum
  • Foster a positive, creative, and inclusive environment
Compensation & Perks
  • $3,000-$6500 based on experience and role
  • Room and board provided while in residence at Camp

Compensation

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading arts programs or teaching visual arts, crafts, or related fields
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Creative, flexible, and able to adapt projects to different ages and skill levels
  • Experience supervising staff and mentoring young educators preferred
  • Team player with enthusiasm for Jewish camp culture and values
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
