Employee‑owned HDR is currently seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic, and technical leadership in our growing coastal engineering and restoration program.

Our portfolio of award‑winning coastal projects showcases our expertise in architecture, federal, transportation, and water resources. Our nationally coordinated, locally delivered coastal engineers are leading the way to solve the nation’s toughest challenges. HDR is ranked #5 in ENR's 2025 Top Water Design Firm rankings.

• Perform analysis and design of coastal restoration projects, including marsh restoration and beach nourishment.
• Develop shoreline protection projects such as revetments and breakwaters.
• Plan navigation projects including dredging, marinas, and harbors.
• Create plans, specifications, and manage projects.

• Familiarity with wave growth and transformation, coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics, littoral processes, sediment transport, marine dredging.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical or structural systems.
• Experience with design of coastal restoration and shoreline protection projects.
