Position:
Equipment Technician – Wafer Fabrication (Lawrence, MA)
- Perform the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Study equipment performance and reliability.
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and resolving equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support to production operators and process engineering organizations.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures.
- Technical or Military training in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience; semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and flow charts.
- Experience in component‑level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
- Experience soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
- Ability to test and evaluate the condition of electrical components (transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors) with a multimeter.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to equipment safety and performance.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware that is controlled by U.S. export laws. Candidates must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or classification as a protected individual.

- Travel time: 0% – 25%
- Physical attributes: bending at waist, crouching, electrical hazards, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mechanical hazards, reaching, seeing, stooping, talking, working alone, working around others.
- Physical requirements:
50% sitting, 25% standing, 25% walking.
- Base pay ranges from $24.52 to $53.85 per hour, depending on location, skills, and experience.
