Role DescriptionThis is a part‑time, on‑site role located in Lawrence, MA. The Nail Technician Instructor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in nail care and nail techniques. Daily responsibilities include developing and following lesson plans, demonstrating nail care skills such as manicure and pedicure procedures, teaching nail art and application techniques, and ensuring students understand safety and sanitation protocols. Instructor is expected to provide a blended experience for students of all demographics, backgrounds and experience levels.
The instructor will provide ongoing support and feedback to help students excel in their training, prepare for licensure with the Massachusetts State Board, and build a strong foundation for their careers in the beauty industry.
ScheduleThis is a part‑time instructional position scheduled for 15 days per month (at least 100 to 120 hours). Classes run in structured 15‑day sessions, typically held at the beginning of each month.
From 9 am-4 pm Monday thru Friday excluding holidays.
Qualifications- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in nail care, nail technology, nail art techniques, and nail application techniques (including acrylic, gel, gel‑x and other nail application systems)
- Experience and expertise in cosmetology‑related services
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to mentor students
- Active state licensure or certification in cosmetology or nail technology
- Teaching or training experience in cosmetology or a beauty‑related field preferred
- Ability to create a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
