Patient Services Representative - Call Center - Lawrence, MA

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Patient Services Representative - Call Center to join our dermatology team. This role supports patients and providers to deliver a seamless and positive patient experience. The practice is welcoming and compassionate, fostering trust during patient interactions.

Pay and Hours

Pay is $20 hourly to start. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 hours daily.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls promptly and professionally, assist with appointment scheduling, address inquiries, triage, route, and escalate concerns while maintaining high standards of customer service and sensitivity.
  • Acquire understanding of provider preferences and service offerings to schedule appointments efficiently and optimize workflow across assigned practices.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to identify and implement process improvements; contribute to new practice rollouts, training, and documentation efforts.
  • Participate in training sessions, roundtable discussions, and professional development to stay informed and enhance skills.
  • Maintain consistent and dependable attendance with flexibility to meet practice needs.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support team success and efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 year in customer service, preferably in a call center or healthcare clinic; medical call center experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Occasionally stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; use hands to handle objects; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
