Job description:
Responsibilities- Work with customers to identify all configuration items requiring monitoring.
- Configure and manage existing monitoring infrastructure and implement additional monitoring as needed.
- Create workflows and processes for handling system monitoring requests.
- Install and configure IBM ITM Agentless/Agent on systems and applications.
- Define additional or special monitoring requirements with system owners.
- Coordinate with system owners and network teams to monitor network availability and capacity.
- Develop and maintain reporting for alerts, including dashboards and historical reports.
- Establish alert notification methods for key personnel.
- Add new managed systems into the monitoring infrastructure and configure their services.
- Develop processes for temporary configuration changes during maintenance.
- Create procedures for configuration changes as needs evolve.
- Develop Net Cool interface with BMC Remedy for auto-generated incident tickets.
- Manage servers, storage, OS, and updates for monitoring systems.
- Address security queries, apply patches, and perform RMF activities.
- Create scripts and tools to support monitoring and reporting tasks.
- Upgrade and patch IBM ITM/Instana/Netcool applications.
- Monitor application performance and advise on best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; no minimum with PhD
- Active Security+ certification
- Experience with IBM ITM, Netcool, or Instana
- Active Public Trust clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required

Salary Range: $80,000 – $128,000 annually
