Position: Sales Director & Team Lead - Electromagnetics (Tidy3D)

Flexcompute is transforming how the world designs electromagnetic and photonic systems. Tidy3D, our flagship EM simulation platform, is the industry’s fastest, most scalable GPU-native solver—empowering companies in semiconductors, photonics, AR/VR, quantum, RF systems, sensors, and advanced computing to simulate complex EM behavior orders of magnitude faster than legacy CPU tools.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, high-performance Sales Director & Team Lead to drive Flexcompute’s enterprise adoption of Tidy3D. This dual role includes carrying a personal quota focused on named strategic EM/photonics/RF accounts, while also leading and developing a high-impact sales team.

What Makes This Role Unique

You will lead the GTM future of Tidy3D, shape our EM sales organization, close flagship strategic deals, and work directly with the world’s most advanced semiconductor, photonics, AR/VR, and RF innovators.

Responsibilities
  • Own a personal quota tied to named strategic enterprise EM/photonics/RF accounts.
  • Lead full-cycle enterprise sales from discovery through close.
  • Build deep relationships with senior engineering leadership.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives.
  • Establish a data-driven sales culture using KPIs and analytics.
  • Own the EM-specific GTM strategy for Tidy3D.
  • Deliver compelling technical-business value propositions for Tidy3D.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years enterprise SaaS/technology/EDA/CAE sales.
  • Proven success closing large EM, photonics, RF, or semiconductor enterprise deals.
  • 3–6 years leading or mentoring quota-carrying teams.
  • Strong understanding of EM simulation concepts.
  • Highly data-driven with strong forecasting and KPI discipline.
  • Exceptional communicator with both technical and C-suite audiences.
Success Metrics
  • Personal and team quota attainment.
  • Strategic enterprise wins.
  • Pipeline growth and forecast accuracy.
  • Expansion across semiconductor, AR/VR, photonics, and RF verticals.
  • Team performance and scaling of the Tidy3D GTM organization.
