JD Edwards Applications Manager

We are seeking an experienced JD Edwards Applications Manager to lead our ERP applications team and ensure reliable, high-performing JD Edwards solutions that support manufacturing and warehouse operations. The role will focus on application management, process optimization, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver stable production systems and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and warehouse management processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the JD Edwards applications team, including coaching, prioritizing work, and ensuring timely delivery of application changes and support.
• Own day-to-day application management for JD Edwards environments, including incident response, problem resolution, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Partner with manufacturing and warehouse operations to translate business requirements into JD Edwards solutions, configure modules, and optimize processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and support Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrations and workflows within JD Edwards, ensuring seamless data flow between systems and real-time visibility of inventory and transactions.
• Coordinate and lead application change control processes, release management, testing, and deployment activities to minimize production impact.
• Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for JD Edwards and related systems.
• Work with cross-functional teams (IT infrastructure, integration, QA, and business stakeholders) to design and implement enhancements, integrations, and automation.
• Monitor application health and key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices for application reliability and scalability.
• Manage vendor relationships, third-party support contracts, and engage external consultants when necessary to supplement internal expertise.

Qualifications include:

• Proven experience managing JD Edwards applications in a production environment, including support, configuration, and upgrades.
• Strong background in Manufacturing ERP processes and hands-on experience supporting manufacturing modules within JD Edwards.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and integrating WMS functionality with JD Edwards to support inventory, receiving, shipping, and fulfillment workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in applications management, including incident and problem management, change control, release management, and SLA oversight.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and vendors.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and mentoring application specialists.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: experience with IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms and administration.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: proficiency with SQL scripting for reporting, data fixes, and integrations.
• Preferred / Nice-to-have: familiarity with RPG development or maintaining RPG-based integrations on IBM iSeries.
