Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
We're partnering with an industry-leading organization in the life sciences/manufacturing space to identify a senior OT Cybersecurity Architect to support a large-scale cybersecurity and regulatory compliance initiative for industrial automation systems.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening OT cybersecurity, implementing industry security standards, and helping modernize a mature automation platform within a highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do- Lead implementation of OT cybersecurity initiatives and regulatory compliance activities.
- Assess existing industrial automation environments and identify cybersecurity gaps.
- Develop and implement secure OT architectures, including network segmentation and defense-in-depth strategies.
- Secure and harden PLC, SCADA, and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform cyber risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support patch management and secure configuration of validated OT systems.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering, automation, infrastructure, validation, and cybersecurity teams.
- Contribute to audit readiness and regulatory compliance efforts.
- 8+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity or industrial automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms (Control Logix, Compact Logix, Studio 5000).
- Experience securing SCADA environments (Ignition preferred).
- Strong understanding of IEC 62443 and industrial cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with industrial networking, firewalls, secure remote access, and OT architecture.
- Familiarity with GMP, regulated manufacturing environments, and Computer System Validation (CSV).
- Experience with Windows Server hardening, Active Directory, vulnerability management, and secure system configuration.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering and cybersecurity teams.
- Life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing industries.
- Experience supporting Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) initiatives.
- Certifications such as IEC 62443, GICSP, CISSP, or Rockwell Automation credentials.
