Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager to join our growing team in Boston, MA.

The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager plays a key role in supporting our Commercial Lines service team by providing exceptional administrative and operational support to Account Managers, Account Executives, and Producers. This position helps ensure a seamless client experience through accurate policy processing, maintenance of agency management systems, and timely support of day-to-day servicing activities.

Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the integrity of client and policy information.

How You Will Contribute:
  • Prepare, process, review, and monitor insurance documents including certificates of insurance, Auto , binders, summaries of insurance, audits, endorsements, proposals, and renewal information requests.
  • Ensure policies and coverage documentation accurately reflect quoted, proposed, and bound terms.
  • Collect and maintain client information and insurance specifications.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to requests from clients, underwriters, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Set up and maintain client accounts within agency management systems, including uploading documents and tracking outstanding items.
  • Complete premium finance agreement requests and premium allocations as needed.
  • Request, review, and summarize loss runs to support account servicing and renewal activities.
  • Assist with claims processing and provide client advocacy when appropriate.
  • Review and monitor electronic downloads and carrier communications.
  • Retrieve policy documents from carrier websites when downloads are unavailable.
  • Perform policy checking for new business, rewrites, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Process cancellations, non-pay notices, and reinstatements while ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are completed.
  • Prepare correspondence related to new business, cancellations, and lost business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date policy information within agency management systems.
  • Stay current on email correspondence, task management, and agency workflows.
  • Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an administrative, customer service, insurance support, banking, financial services, or professional office environment preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience is helpful but not required.
  • Commercial insurance experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and telephone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Licenses &

Certifications:
  • Property & Casualty License preferred but not required.
  • Candidates must be willing to obtain insurance licensing as required by the Company.
Pay Range

$24.00 per hour

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on factors including experience, geographic location, market conditions, and budget considerations.
