Senior Director/VP, Clinical Development

Our client is a commercial-stage, revenue-generating biopharma who are committed to developing transformative therapies, leveraging multiple modalities to bring meaningful treatments to patients. With an expanding pipeline and upcoming clinical milestones, the organization is growing their clinical leadership team.

Role

We are looking for a physician to join the team as Senior Director/ VP of Clinical Development, depending on experience. You will take strategic and operational leadership over development programs in your area of expertise and lead a small, high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving and mission-driven environment, with significant responsibility, influence, and visibility across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the clinical development strategy for one or more pipeline programs.
• Develop and execute Clinical Development Plans (CDPs) from Phase 1 through to NDA/BLA submissions.
• Provide medical leadership and oversight to cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, drug safety, and biometrics.
• Serve as a key medical representative with external partners including KOLs, investigators, and regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to the hiring, mentorship, and leadership of additional clinical team members.
• Ensure high scientific rigor and compliance with GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Operate with agility in a fast-paced biotech environment, taking a hands-on approach as needed.

Qualifications

• You should be an MD, and a boarded Pulmonologist, Allergist/Immunologist or Dermatologist.
• Significant industry experience in clinical drug development (early and/or late-stage).
• Proven track record of developing and executing clinical development strategies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
• Experience in regulatory strategy and interactions with global health authorities.
• Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to pivot based on program needs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; no task too small, and driven by scientific impact.
