General Superintendent – Utility-Scale Solar & BESS

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee field operations on utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is responsible for directing crews, coordinating site activities, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met.

This is a leadership-heavy, field-driven role requiring strong accountability and decision‑making ability.

• Supervise assigned management and field crews
• Direct overall project coordination and workforce performance
• Interview, recommend hiring, train, assign, and evaluate personnel
• Address performance issues, resolve complaints, and maintain discipline
• Schedule projects in logical steps and ensure deadlines are met
• Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to job sites
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and labor cost tracking reports
• Respond to delays, weather impacts, and site emergencies
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers, and design professionals
• Plan and direct construction and maintenance activities
• Ensure proper procedures and safety standards are followed
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all stakeholders
• Provide constructive performance feedback
• Adapt to changing site demands and non‑routine assignments

• High School Diploma required (college‑level computer coursework preferred)
• 10+ years of related construction experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate heavy equipment

• Strong working knowledge of job site safety rules and compliance
• Equipment operation and maintenance familiarity
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Experience with solar, BESS, or substation construction environments preferred
