Transportation Supervisor

Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth! Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor for our facility in Lawrence, MA.

Compensation: the salary range for this position is $75,000 to $80,000. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7am – 4:30pm

Friday and Saturday 3am – 12pm

Off Sunday & Monday

• Recruits and trains all drivers
• Interacts with our full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehicles
• Supervises payroll, truck leasing and fuel budgets
• Supervises work performance and results of all drivers
  • Sets effective schedules to operate within budget
  • Prioritizes work effectively
  • Sets high expectations and goals
  • Takes responsibility for achieving performance results
  • Follows through to completion of work projects
  • Assures employees follow Unitex policies and procedures
• Supervises and coordinates all company safety procedures
• Builds effective customer relationships and resolves issues in timely ways

• 2+ years of successful transportation management experience with proven results
• MUST HAVE Class A CDL and supervisory experience
• Experience managing people in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive setting
• Complete knowledge of DOT requirements
• Independent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skills
