Microchip Technology Inc., through its Discrete and Integrated Solutions Group (DISG), offers a comprehensive portfolio of power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor products. The DISG includes the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discreet BU, serving markets such as alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors, and security. The role is located in Lawrence, MA.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Operate multiple die test stations (automated and manual) to ensure proper alignment and testing per die type.
- Monitor machine status and die quality with strong visual capability.
- Receive and verify documentation and test programs from the prior shift operator.
- Operate and multi‑task between 2–4 die test sorters.
- Maintain basic computer literacy and complete tasks using written procedures.
- Follow written and verbal procedures in English.
- Meet minimum quality and quantity standards.
- Maintain a very good attendance record.
- Work individually or as a team member in a fast‑paced environment.
- Apply job skills and adhere to company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Multi‑task while paying meticulous attention to detail.
- Prior success working individually and in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work specifications.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Adaptability to frequent change and improvements.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
- Ability to wear required protective equipment.
- Basic computer, math, and reading comprehension skills.
- Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of experience in production or manufacturing.
- Excellent visual capability to work with extremely small dies without magnification devices.
- Excellent manual dexterity and patience for repetitive work.
- Experience using tweezers, vacuum pencils, etc.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
This position requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Candidates must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b(a)(3).

Pay RangeThe hourly pay range for this position is $17.00 – $27.00, depending on location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes competitive base pay, restricted stock units, quarterly bonuses, health benefits, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program.
