Job Overview
VPT Components is seeking an experienced Assembly Aluminum Wire Bonder to support precision assembly operations within a growing electronics manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing high-quality aluminum wire bonding on electronic and semiconductor components, ensuring all assemblies meet strict production, quality, and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aluminum wire bonding on electronic and semiconductor components using manual or semi-automatic wire bonding equipment
- Set up, operate, and adjust wire bonding machines as required
- Read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Inspect bonded assemblies using microscopes to verify bond integrity and accuracy
- Identify defects, perform rework, and document corrective actions
- Maintain cleanroom or controlled environment standards
- Follow ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all times
- Accurately document production activities and inspection results
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet quality and output goals
- Proven hands-on experience with aluminum wire bonding (required)
- Experience in microelectronics or semiconductor assembly
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work under microscopes and with precision tools
- Basic knowledge of quality control and inspection methods
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, hybrid, or microcircuit assembly
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments
- Ability to troubleshoot basic wire bonding issues
- On-site manufacturing facility
- Precision-driven, detail-oriented production setting
- Standing or seated assembly work using microscopes and fine tools
