Maintenance Manager – Industrial

Unitex is GROWING and we are currently seeking a HANDS ON Maintenance Manager (industrial machinery) to manage the technicians and machinery in our NEW, state-of-the-art industrial laundry facility.

Schedule
:
Monday through Friday 5:30 AM until all work is completed. Must be flexible to work additional hours or weekends when needed or for emergencies.

Salary
: $110,000 – $125,000 plus comprehensive benefits.

• Maintain a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment utilizing manuals as well as PC‑based tools.
• Lead the maintenance team in performing diagnostic troubleshooting on all plant equipment.
• Monitor quality of repairs.
• Interpret production reports and use them to improve operations.
• Interface with production management and line personnel to determine most effective ways to operate equipment.
• Purchase and maintain proper spare parts inventory that balances tying up capital with minimizing plant downtime.
• Interface with boiler chemical suppliers to ensure proper maintenance of the boiler.
• Identify building and physical plant repair issues.
• Maintain porter schedule to maximize cleaning effectiveness of plant and machinery.
• Maintain proper inventory of chemical supplies.
• Interface with production personnel to allow repairs to be made with minimal impact on production.
• Control energy costs through effective monitoring of machine performance and operation schedules.
• Maintain safety programs.
• Update technical publication library (equipment, blueprints, schematics, etc.).

• Knowledge of industrial equipment fundamentals including electrical wiring, electrical components, pneumatic systems, steam systems, water systems, hydraulics and building maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints, wiring diagrams, manuals, etc.).
• Ability to use basic hand tools properly and safely.
• Experience responding in a time‑sensitive environment with urgency.
• Ability to interface with vendors and purchase parts efficiently, including cost‑saving pricing and delivery.
• Ability to obtain and maintain proper licensing needed to legally operate specific plant machines.
• Understanding of basic energy utilization principles.
• Desire to be very hands‑on and to train as needed – this is not an office job.
