CoWorx is seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team in the Lawrence, MA area. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating manufacturing machinery (such as die‑cutters, punch presses, or laminators). The ideal candidate possesses strong hand‑eye coordination, a focus on safety, and the ability to maintain consistent quality in a fast‑paced environment.
This is an entry‑to‑mid‑level position with opportunities for growth within our manufacturing environment.
Shift: 7:00am‑4:00pm
Responsibilities- Machine Operation:
Set up, calibrate, and operate light machinery according to production blueprints, schematics, or supervisor instructions. - Material Feeding:
Load raw materials or parts into the machines and carefully monitor the production process to ensure smooth operation. - Quality Control:
Inspect finished products visually or using basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet strict company quality standards. - Troubleshooting:
Identify minor mechanical issues or defects in real‑time and perform basic adjustments; report larger malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors immediately. - Routine Maintenance:
Perform basic, daily preventative maintenance, such as cleaning, oiling, and clearing debris from machines. - Documentation:
Keep accurate logs of daily production counts, material usage, and time keeping. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean, hazard‑free workstation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions, safety manuals, and measurement scales.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and checking product dimensions.
