Trillium Professional is now seeking CNC Machinists for work in Lawrence, MA!

Pay Rates
  • Grade 1 CNC Machinist: $22–31/hr
  • Grade 2 CNC Machinist: $24.50–33.75/hr
  • Grade 3 CNC Machinist: $27.50–41/hr
Grade 1 CNC Machinist

An entry level, non-exempt position that reports to the Machine Shop Manager. The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing parts that meet or exceed client’s standards. The standards include a high level of precision on all piece parts manufactured within the machine shop.

Grade 2 CNC Machinist

A skilled craft, overtime-eligible position that reports to the Machine Shop Manager. The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing parts that meet or exceed client’s standards. The standards include a high level of precision on all piece parts manufactured within the machine shop. The Grade 2 Machinist requires minimal supervision.

Grade 3 CNC Machinist

An overtime-eligible, senior craft position that reports to the Machine Shop Management team. The Grade 3 Machinist is responsible for manufacturing parts that meet or exceed client’s standards. These standards include a high level of precision on all piece parts manufactured within the machine shop. Grade 3 Machinist is an A/R Class A Machinist.

Essential Functions
  • Operate all manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision after training.
  • Keep accurate records of work performance, processes and procedures, order of operations, tooling used for specific features, setup methods.
  • Learn and use all necessary measuring tools as instructed.
  • Will use hand tools, as required after proper training to meet part specifications.
  • Able to work from drawings, sketches, or verbal and written instructions.
  • Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Schedule is Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with overtime on Saturday as needed.

Requirements Grade 1 CNC Machinist
  • HS Diploma, Technical Training Certificate or equivalent.
Preferred (Grade
1)
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • 1 to 3 years machining experience or combination of experience and technical school training.
  • Some exposure with tooling, fixtures, and machine setups to achieve quality precision machined components.
Grade 2 CNC Machinist
  • HS Diploma, Technical Training Certificate or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years machining experience or combination of experience and technical school training.
  • Must be able to operate any of the PROTO‑TRAK machines with a minimal amount of training.
  • Must be able to adjust and make changes to programs.
  • Minimal supervision needed for set up and operation.
  • Must be able to perform highly technical and close tolerance work to engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup to achieve quality precision machined components.
  • Must have the ability to determine the need for and fabricate jigs and tooling.
Preferred (Grade
2)
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of CNC “G & M” codes and programming Fadal or Haas controller.
Grade 3 CNC Machinist
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years machining experience or combination of experience and technical school training.
  • Must be able to perform highly technical and close tolerance work to engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to program and operate PROTO‑TRAK or equivalent Milling and Lathe machines with a minimal amount of supervision.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and machine setup to achieve quality precision machined components.
  • Must have the ability to determine the need for and fabricate jigs and tooling.
Preferred (Grade
3)
  • Able to program Fadal and HAAS VMC from the controller using CNC “G & M” codes.
  • Working experience with BOBCAM software.
  • Knowledgeable in Solid Works.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
