Fabricator / TIG Welder (Lawrence, MA)
Exentec Bio Pharma Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabricator / TIG Welder to support the fabrication of stainless‑steel components and equipment for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities- Follow daily direction from department head or supervisor.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform high‑quality TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless‑steel frames, tubing, and valve fabrications using manual and automated processes (20% of the time).
- Utilize machinery and hand tools for cutting, machining, grinding, and polishing stainless‑steel components.
- Assist in the assembly and fabrication of custom‑engineered pharmaceutical equipment.
- Maintain consistent communication with team members and leadership regarding progress, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and performance standards.
- 1–3 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with fabrication and testing of TFF, chromatography, or bioreactor systems.
- Knowledge of ASME BPE Codes, Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (more than 2 consecutive hours within an 8‑hour shift).
- Regular interaction with machinery and equipment containing moving parts.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
- Exposure to welding, cutting, and grinding processes.
- Occasional exposure to low‑ and high‑voltage equipment.
- Work performed in a clean, climate‑controlled manufacturing environment.
