The Lateral Flow Junior Analyst is an entry-level, non-exempt position that reports to LF Management. The Junior Analyst supports the LF Production department in performing pre- and post-testing on diagnostic tests and components for the dairy industry, as well as manufacturing various Charm Diagnostic tests.
DescriptionThe Lateral Flow Junior Analyst is an entry-level, non-exempt position that reports to LF Management. The Junior Analyst supports the LF Production department in performing pre- and post-testing on diagnostic tests and components for the dairy industry, as well as manufacturing various Charm Diagnostic tests.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and other factors in accordance with applicable laws.
Essential Functions- Screen and approve raw materials for use in ROSA tests.
- Assist in the manufacture of new ROSA products under the guidance of LF Management.
- Prepare reagents required for raw material preparation or ROSA component screening.
- Test incoming shipments of raw materials before use in production, setting up experiments with LF Management with alternate sources.
- Operation of reel-to-reel and manual guillotine equipment used for manufacturing ROSA raw material.
- Perform pre and post-production testing on ROSA tests and components.
- Record all pertinent information in assigned SOPs and/or spreadsheets.
- Assist in the lamination of ROSA cards when needed.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled with MS Excel and Word
- Schedule is Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- Pursuing a degree in Biochemistry or a related field
- Lab experience
- Able to safely handle antibiotics in dry powder and concentrated liquid form in a laboratory setting.
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to visually inspect and label spraying defects on a moving component web on a reel-to-reel machine.
- Able to sit or stand for an extended length of time.
- Able to work at a computer for an extended length of time.
- Will be exposed to fluctuating environmental conditions, i.e., temperatures ranging from 4°C in a walk-in cold room where the finished product is stored to 28°C in LFP Dry Rooms.
- Able to operate micro-pipettors repeatedly and accurately for up to 4 hours.
