What’s The Job?Asahi/America is looking for an experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist who can take ownership of getting jobs set up and running accurately and efficiently. You’ll machine precision plastic and metal components used in our piping systems, valves, fittings, and custom assemblies.
What You Will Own.You’ll set up and operate CNC equipment, fixtures, and tooling; interpret blueprints and tolerances; make machine adjustments; and ensure jobs are repeatable and ready for production. You’ll select appropriate tooling, work with feeds and speeds, troubleshoot machining issues, and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
What Separates You From The Rest. You have solid CNC machining and set-up experience and can work independently from a drawing to a finished part. You understand tooling, feeds and speeds, tolerances, and precision inspection. CNC programming experience is a strong plus. Experience machining thermoplastics such as PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDF, or PE is especially valuable.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
Why You’ll Love Working Here. You’ll work with a variety of materials, parts, and machining challenges- not simply run the same job every day. We offer Day One medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a generous 401(k) company match with immediate vesting, and continuing education reimbursement.
If you can take a job from drawing to first good part, we want to hear from you.
Compensation Transparency.Salary Range: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour.
