About Merrimack Health:As a designated Level III Trauma Center, our Lawrence Emergency Center treats the Merrimack Valley’s most serious illnesses and injuries.
- Average of 190 patient visits per day
- 41 in-room beds and approximately 30 hall spaces
- Accelerated Care Unit for lower acuity visitsaverages 40 patients per day
- Average ratio of 5:1depending on acuity
- Hands-on, passionatemanagement team
The Emergency Center nurse consistently encounters stressful situations, must demonstrate competent responsiveness to frequent critical situations withadult and pediatric patients, and must work effectively with patients, families and co-workers.
Your Responsibilities:Under the direction and leadership of the Nurse Manager, the Emergency Center RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care through knowledge of the nursing process and age‑specific requirements and by following departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Qualified candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document care, delegate assignments, relay information, make referrals, and act as liaisons between patients, physicians, other hospital disciplines, and community agencies.
Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Massachusetts licensure
- Service‑specific credentials, certification, and experience as specified
- ASN with enrollment in a BSN/MSN program or equivalent service line experience may be considered
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, or ENPC, and TNCC (New Graduates, as part of the New Graduate Program, must obtain the above Certifications within six months of the hire date).
