Department/Position Overview :
This is a 16 bed Unit. The Nurse:
Patient Ratio is 1:4 to 1:5 based on acuity and staffing. Patient Population: IMC/Med Surg
- Anticipate DKA, Alcohol Withdrawal, COPD exacerbation, Sickle Cell crisis, CHF exacerbation, Renal Failure, Dehydration, I&D
Education
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale
Experience
- Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.
