Business Development Manager

The Role

This role is centred on generating new business across Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. You’ll receive warm leads and existing house accounts, but your success will ultimately depend on your ability to prospect, cold call, and close deals.

• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within food, beverage, retail, and industrial sectors
• Own and manage a regional territory through a combination of in-person meetings, cold calls, and site visits
• Close contracts and oversee the sales process through implementation, with strong operational support
• Maintain accurate CRM records, meet activity benchmarks, and track progress toward annual sales targets
• Build long-term client relationships and represent the company with professionalism and energy

• 3–7 years of outside sales experience, in:
• Waste and recycling (organics, MSW, recycling, etc.)
• Food & beverage services (packaging, logistics, equipment)
• Demonstrated success in new business development
• Self-driven and motivated by commission-based earnings
• Ability to commute to Boston one day per week
• Strong communicator who thrives in a high-accountability, no-excuses culture
• Uncapped commissions with OTE between $200K–$300K
• Car allowance, phone, and laptop provided
• Strong internal support from operations and administrative teams
