OverviewJoin 2020 Companies as a Retail Engagement Specialist and play a key role in building retail partner relationships, increasing program visibility, and supporting business growth across your territory!
What You’ll Do- Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
- Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
- Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
- Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
- Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
Field-based position with daily travel within your assigned territory.
Approximately 22‑35 retail visits per day depending on geography and scheduling.
Mix of in‑store engagement, driving, and administrative follow‑up.
Independent work style with strong support from leadership and training teams.

- Prior retail, sales, field marketing, or customer‑facing experience is a plus.
- Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals.
- Meet or exceed weekly in‑store time goals.
- Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis.
- Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance.
- Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits.
- Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement and consistent productivity.
- Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of products and services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, team environment.
- Maintain customer confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation within assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, vehicle, successful MVR screening.
