Beauty Sales Consultant

Position Summary

As a Beauty Sales Consultant at CVS Health®, you will serve as the primary beauty advisor in the store’s beauty zone, providing friendly, knowledgeable sales service, sharing the latest beauty trends and techniques, and building personalized, robust baskets for each customer.

• Seek out customers and provide personalized sales service based on their needs, effective upselling and suggestive selling, and subsequent follow-up contact to build lasting relationships.
• Engage in conversation as customers enter the beauty zone, listen to their information, and provide specialized sales advice.
• Act as a brand expert by answering customer questions in detail with product knowledge to maximize sales baskets.
• Explain how various products help customers address their needs, educate them on proper usage and benefits, and leverage the CVS Beauty monthly sampling program.
• Participate in and represent company sales programs or events that positively impact business, including sales training meetings, conference calls, and promotions.
• Create and maintain product displays, end caps, and other beauty‑specific promotional materials, supporting key brands, corporate initiatives, and local advertising efforts.
• Maintain a clean and well‑stocked beauty zone, ensuring compliance with hygiene standards, CVS tester sanitation, hazardous waste disposal, and tool cleansing policies.
• Execute the established sales plan by meeting the sales budget and tracking progress toward success.

• Sales‑oriented mindset with the ability to use sales data and product/brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Goal‑driven and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capable of working independently and as an integral part of a team.
• Flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and “Peak” hours.
• Age 18 or older.
• Willingness to perform ear‑piercing services in all stores (training and certification provided).
• Bilingual beauty advisors may be required in certain locations; ability to speak English and Spanish is desirable.

• Prior beauty sales experience.
• Current knowledge of beauty products and brands.
• Strong passion for beauty.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical abilities to support the essential functions of the role, such as standing and moving throughout the store for the majority of the work time, stooping, kneeling or crouching, reaching or grasping objects, and performing duties requiring manual dexterity (e.g., ear piercing).

Full time – Anticipated weekly hours: 40.

$16.50 – $24.00 per hour, base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary. The actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
