Reagent Sales Specialist (Protein Sciences Segment)
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling.
- Conduct field sales in the designated territory; visit customers 4 days/week.
- Maintain and grow business in existing and new accounts.
- Identify customer solutions using knowledge of proteins, antibodies, small molecules, cell culture reagents, and cell therapy products.
- Plan and execute account management to meet goals.
- Communicate product value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.
- Use CRM (Salesforce) daily for scheduling, forecasting, and capturing customer/opportunity information.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological/medical sciences or related life science field (advanced degrees may substitute for industry experience).
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated life sciences sales experience.
- Experience selling research reagents/life science consumables strongly preferred.
- Understanding of the scientific principles behind Bio-Techne products.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Salesforce (CRM) and computer/data entry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; multitask; strong verbal and written communication.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Proven ability to secure meetings at locked-down pharma accounts.
- Knowledge of reagents, lab techniques, methods, and equipment used in pharmaceutical/biologics research and production.
- Ability to navigate pharma/biotech/academic/government organizational structures.
- Prior consultative selling experience in a scientific environment required.
- Located in Massachusetts within 45 minutes of Boston/Cambridge; candidates outside MA must relocate before start.
- Work authorization required with no future visa sponsorship for employment authorization in the U.S.
