Position: Staff Chemist/Scientist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Chemist/Scientist to join our team in Massachusetts. Our ideal candidate has a B.S. in Chemistry to support our growing chemistry practice (functions listed below) and will also appreciate participating in field work to help during surges in field work and/or if the chemistry practice workload is light. The selected candidate will work both independently and as part of a larger team to execute environmental investigation and remediation projects.

This position is remote while performing office duties, and daily travel to job sites in Middlesex County, Massachusetts required while conducting field work. Infrequent overnight travel to support field work may be needed, but is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of UFP-QAPPs and other technical reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of laboratory and data validation scopes of work and bid sheets.
  • Evaluate and interpret laboratory data, regulations, and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with laboratory and field teams for bottle ware orders and resolve issues during field investigations.
  • Respond to laboratory inquiries during sample analysis.
  • Track field samples and manage laboratory and data validation processes for field investigations.
  • Set up and manage FUDSchem or similar event management systems, including approvals and exports.
  • Support environmental fieldwork, including groundwater and soil sampling.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in data evaluation and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and laboratory procedures.
  • Experience in field sampling techniques and data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
